Where do I find a list of metals with their heat expansion index?

Answer
To find the coefficient of linear expansion which is used to determine the amount of
expansion or contraction by a metal, look no further than the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and
Physics. You may find one at your local library, Chemistry/Physics departments or buy it at Amazon.com.

'There is no inductive method which could lead to the fundamental concepts of physics. Failure to understand this fact constituted the basic philosophical error of so many investigators of the nineteenth century.'
